Health & Leisure

Recognising that many factors can impact on health, local partners – including health professionals, local residents and agencies – take an holistic approach to promoting better health and well-being .

Their work also benefits from the involvement of Tameside and Glossop NHS Trust and their dedicated Health Improvement Team based in Hattersley. The team works with partners to help coordinate action, raise awareness of health issues and choices and to tackle priorities including:

  • Increasing levels of physical activity
  • Improving diet and help people lose weight
  • Helping people stop smoking
  • Improving sexual health
  • Promoting positive mental health

Taking that first step to improving your health and lifestyle can be the most difficult – so, if you are a Hattersley or Mottram resident why not find out about the range of health related activities and courses available locally or take advantage of free one-to-one advice and support available from the Hattersley Health Trainer (*over 18’s only).

To find out more call 0161 368 2096 or call in to the Hattersley Neighbourhood Partnership office.

Sport and Leisure
